Maverick director Teja earlier faced criticism for troubling actors with his tough directional style while shooting on sets. Now, he made sensational comments on Mahesh Babu with whom he made Nijam. Teja spoke to the press during the promotions of his upcoming film Hora Hori and in his usual style he did some controversial remarks.
During the chat he faced a question from the interviewer ‘What is your comment on Mahesh, Prakash Raj and few other actors adopting villages. Were they really inspired by Srimanthudu film?’
Teja replied, ‘I don’t think there is a social purpose. Actors do such things, to cash on the loopholes.. There must be some tax exemption announced by the Government. That is the reason why people like Mahesh and other stars are adopting villages. If Mahesh really wanted to do charity works he could have adopted villages during Okkadu days itself. He need not have to wait until now to do this.’ Teja said in a sarcastic tone. The comments of Teja earned huge uproar from all fans of Mahesh.
